Membership, declaration of works, distribution: what SCAAP does for image creators.

Who can join?
Membership is open to any natural or legal person holding rights in an audiovisual or photographic work: directors, screenwriters, producers, photographers, performers, image and sound technicians, as well as the heirs and successors of deceased authors.
What SCAAP does for you
- Negotiates and issues exploitation licences to broadcasters and operators for the entire repertoire.
- Collects the corresponding royalties, including from venues where individual monitoring would be impossible.
- Maintains the register of declared works, which is the basis for calculating your rights.
- Pays you the amounts due, according to distribution rules adopted in general assembly.
- Supports you in cases of unauthorised use of your works.
Your obligations as a member
Membership entails assigning rights to the society for the categories of exploitation covered. Members undertake to declare their works, to report any change of situation or contact details, and to take part in the life of the society.
